Viva Health was founded in 1995 and now has over 90,000 members. Located in Birmingham, Alabama, Viva Health offers several types of health insurance, including group plans and Medicare Advantage plans.

Viva Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage plans are an alternative to Original Medicare (Medicare Part A and Part B). By law, every Medicare Advantage plan must provide the same minimum benefits as Original Medicare, but some offer additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage. Some plans may include additional benefits, like vision and dental coverage.

Some Viva Health Medicare Advantage plans cost as little as $0 per month depending where you live, and some plans provide annual allowances for vision and dental.

Viva Small Group Plans

Viva Health offers six small group health insurance plans, which contain varying plan features (deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, coinsurance, copayments, etc). A "small group employer" is one that has between two and 50 employees. Small group employers who offer health insurance benefits to their employees may be able to receive tax incentives.
