SilverSneakers Wellness Program
SilverSneakers is a wellness program designed for older adults that is included with some Medicare health plans (also called Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part C).
More than 12 million people are eligible for the SilverSneakers Wellness Program, and members can access more than 13,000 fitness centers and gyms across the United States.

Benefits of the SilverSneakers Wellness Program include:
- Total body conditioning workouts
- Outdoor and indoor exercise opportunities
- Yoga
- Weight training
- Resistance exercises
- Group fitness
Who qualifies?
Over 65 different Medicare health plans provide SilverSneakers memberships, including some Medicare Advantage plans and some Medicare Supplement Insurance plans. It is usually provided for free if you are enrolled in a participating plan.
You may already have a SilverSneakers membership if you are enrolled in a Medicare health plan or a group retiree plan. You can find out if your health plan includes SilverSneakers coverage by using the participating health plan look-up tool.

If you are interested in a SilverSneakers membership, ask your Medicare health plan provider if they offer plans with this benefit. You also can check your eligibility online.
